Enrollment requirements You must complete at least two Strayer courses per term to maintain full-time student status. There are no requirements. All courses are eligible for transfer to Strayer.

  • Books, supplies, and other fees apply.
  • Developmental courses (08X/090/091), transfer credits, courses completed prior to readmission, and courses passed by placement exam are excluded from this program and do not count toward earning tuition awards. Fund must be redeemed for final courses leading to the completion of a bachelor’s or master’s degree. Successful completion means earning the grade required by the curriculum as outlined in the Strayer University catalog.
  • New or returning students enrolling in bachelor’s or master’s degrees (graduate students must be enrolled on or after summer 2020 quarter) are eligible. Some groups of students may not be eligible including, but not limited to: students enrolled in a non-degree program, certificate program, associate’s program, or JWMI program, any Strayer University employee (and employees of any of its affiliates or Strategic Education, Inc.) and their dependents, adjunct faculty and their dependents, or students enrolled through Degrees@Work.
  • Unless specified in another offer’s eligibility rules, you cannot combine the Graduation Fund with additional offers. Some of the offers that the Graduation Fund cannot be combined with include, but are not limited to: the Supplemental Assistance scholarship, the Experienced Student Completion scholarship, the Law Enforcement Tuition Assistance program, Complete@Strayer Community College program, and the $10,000 and $20,000 Bachelor’s Transfer Tuition Cap offers.
  • Tuition credit is earned only after successfully completing courses and will be lost if you do not take courses for two consecutive quarters.
  • Students already receiving scholarship aid from Strayer University may not be eligible.
  • Students receiving tuition assistance from their employers through agreements with Strayer University may not be eligible.

Eligibility requirements
  • You are a new or readmit student registering for the fall 2021 quarter in a Strayer University bachelor’s degree program. You are not enrolling in a certificate, associate’s, master’s or Devmountain program.
  • You are transferring in at least 18 quarter credits into your Strayer University bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution or the American Council on Education’s College Credit Recommendation Service (ACE Credit®), this includes previously earned Strayer coursework and Sophia Learning. 
  • You must take two or more courses per quarter during the disbursement period to be eligible for the offer.
  • You understand this offer applies to tuition only. Technology fee, final academic requirement evaluation fee, books, any course materials and non-obligatory fees must be paid by a separate method of payment.
  • The offer will be disbursed in $1,000 increments equally for five consecutive quarters of enrollment after eligibility is confirmed. 
  • You understand the deadline to confirm eligibility, which means we have an official transcript on record showing 18+ transfer credits, is Sunday, April 3, 2022, at 11:59 pm Central Time. If confirmation is not received by this deadline, the offer will be revoked. 
    • If eligibility is confirmed by Sunday, Oct. 3, 2021, at 11:59 pm Central Time, the offer will be applied to your account for five consecutive disbursements of $1,000 each during the fall 2021, winter 2022, spring 2022, summer 2022 and fall 2022 quarters.
    • If eligibility is confirmed between Monday, Oct. 4, 2021–Sunday, Jan. 2, 2022, at 11:59 pm Central Time, the offer will be applied to your account for five consecutive disbursements of $1,000 each during the winter 2022, spring 2022, summer 2022, fall 2022 and winter 2023 quarters.
    • If eligibility is confirmed between Monday, Jan. 3, 2022–Sunday, April 3, 2022, at 11:59 pm Central Time, the offer will be applied to your account for five consecutive disbursements of $1,000 each during the spring 2022, summer 2022, fall 2022, winter 2023 and spring 2023 quarters.
  • If you do not register for or drop all courses during a quarter where the offer is disbursed, you forfeit the disbursement for that quarter.
  • No refund will be issued on unused offer disbursements due to graduating early.
  • No refund will be issued on unused offer disbursements if you reach tuition-free quarter(s) where the graduation fund credits are being redeemed and no tuition is charged.
  • This offer may be combined with corporate alliance/national account discounts.
  • This offer may be combined with the Graduation Fund. 
  • This offer may be combined with the laptop offer.
  • If you take three or more consecutive quarters off, you will forfeit any remaining disbursements and any benefits associated.
  • You meet Strayer University admission requirements.
  • You are not enrolling in a Jack Welch Management Institute (JWMI), Devmountain, Degrees@Work or VerizonOnsite program.
  • This offer cannot be combined with other Strayer sponsored 50% off discounts, tuition assistance aligned pricing (TAAP) discounts or scholarships.
  • Neither you, an immediate family member of yours, nor household member of yours are currently employed by the university, the university’s parent company, or any other subsidiary of the parent company.
  • You will be held to any academic consequences of withdrawing from or failing any course.
  • You must maintain good academic standing (GPA 2.0 or greater for undergraduate programs). In any quarter following the quarter where a student fails to maintain good academic standing, disbursements will be forfeited until the student returns to good academic standing.
  • If you choose to change to an ineligible program, discontinue or withdraw (either actively or administratively) from Strayer, you will become ineligible for this offer. 
  • If you drop or withdraw from a course, you will be responsible for any fees associated with change in enrollment status for that quarter.  
  • Under no circumstance will recipients be eligible for a refund, cash payment or any other compensation for the value of unused funds from the offer.
  • If your tuition is billed to an employer or sponsor, the offer is applied first to tuition charges and then the sponsor is billed the net tuition amount (to the extent tuition benefits are available.) 
  • In all cases, the offer is at Strayer University’s discretion.

Referral Scholarship Eligibility Requirements

  1. You must have been referred to Strayer by a current full-time faculty or staff member of Strategic Education, Inc., or one of its subsidiary entities including but not limited to, Strayer University and Capella University.
  2. You must be a new student registering for the Winter 2021 term in a Strayer University Master’s degree program or JWMI MBA program. You are not enrolling in a certificate, associates, bachelors, or DevMountain program. You also are not enrolled in a Degrees@Work program or Verizon Onsite.
  3. You meet Strayer University admission requirements by program.
  4. Person being referred cannot be currently employed by Strategic Education, Inc. or any subsidiary thereof, including but not limited to Strayer University or Capella University.
  5. Once the tuition cap of $5,000 is reached, you will no longer pay tuition, technology fees, or the diploma conferral fee. Your course tuition and technology fees paid prior to reaching the tuition cap will contribute to reaching the $5,000 tuition cap.
  6. You are required to pay for books, course materials, and non-obligatory fees with a separate method of payment for the duration of your program. These costs do not count towards the tuition cap and are not covered once you reach the tuition cap of $5,000.
  7. You will maintain good academic standing (GPA 2.5 or greater) and good financial standing. If you do not, you will no longer earn towards the tuition cap or receive the benefits under the program. If you fail to maintain good academic standing, in the quarter following the quarter when you fail to maintain good academic standing, the discount will be cancelled until such time that return to good academic standing.
  8. If you drop or fail a course prior to reaching the tuition cap, that tuition charge or any withdrawal fees will not accrue towards the $5,000 tuition cap. Only courses successfully completed count towards the $5,000 tuition cap.
  9. Similarly, if you drop or fail a course after reaching the tuition cap, you will be responsible for any withdrawal fees or pro-rated tuition charges. Only courses successfully completed will be covered by the program benefits. The program will include the cost of a re-take if it is successfully completed.
  10. If you choose to change to an ineligible program, discontinue, or withdraw (either actively or administratively) from Strayer, you will become ineligible for this program.
  11. There is no cash value. Under no circumstance will recipients be eligible for a cash payment or any other compensation for the value of unused tuition cap benefits.
  12. If you take two or more consecutive quarters off, you will forfeit any and all benefits under the program. You will not be permitted back into the program if you are readmitted into the University. You will lose any credit accrued toward your $5,000 cap. You will have to pay for any and all remaining classes.
  13. You will be held to academic consequences of withdrawing from or failing any course.
  14. This tuition cap benefit may not be combined with other scholarships, tuition discounts, Graduation Fund, or SEI tuition assistance.
  15. In all cases, the tuition cap benefit program is at Strayer University’s discretion.

  7. The scholarship will be applied to your account in four equal disbursements of $1,000 during your second, third, fourth and fifth quarters after starting coursework in the program. If you do not complete a course during a term where the scholarship is disbursed, you forfeit the disbursement for that term.
  8. No refund will be issued on unused scholarship amounts.
  9. You must maintain good academic standing (defined as a GPA 3.0 or greater). Beginning with any quarter following the quarter you fail to maintain good academic standing, the scholarship’s disbursements will be forfeited until you return to good academic standing.
  10. You must be in good financial standing with the University (defined as a $0 past due balance).
  11. The scholarship applies to course tuition only. All other books and fees must be paid with a separate method of payment.
  12. This scholarship does not include any Strayer University graduate programs offered through Degrees@Work, or Verizon Onsite.
  13. In all cases, the scholarship if offered at Strayer’s discretion.
